Today is the last day of Twitter week. On Wednesday I talked about how to get your Twitter followers to your video. and today I’m talking about doing just the opposite: how to get your Youtube crowd to Tweet your videos… by embedding prepopulated tweets directly within your videos!
New media is all about connectivity: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Youtube all interconnecting in a weaving wave of epic social awesome.
So how do we make it easy and compelling for your users to share your Youtube videos on Twitter? Right now users basically have to go through the trouble of doing it themselves.
You can’t rely on your users to do it themselves!
You’ve got to make it SO EASY for them, that NOT DOING IT seems harder in comparison. You’ve got to make it so compelling, that they can’t help but do it. [click to continue…]
It’s day FOUR of Twitter Week, and I’m taking a look at another twitter tool.
I’ve hinted before that I’m an absolute fanatic about the idea of raising conversion rates. You can get better results on the same traffic. More people buying your product, more people clicking your links, and more people eating your tacos…. if that’s what you’re peddling.
Well there’s a way to increase your Tweet-Through-Rate, and it’s all thanks to this nifty little web app called ClickToTweet. It’s FREE and it’s the best tool I’ve found to increase conversions.
Let me give you an overview of what they do, and few strategies I use to raise my Tweet-Through-Rate:

Today as part of Twitter Week, I’ll share with you how to build twitter following that’s hungry for your video content.
If you need a quick primer on Twitter, be sure to read Twitter For People Who Don’t ‘Get’ Twitter.
Know what? Even if you’re a high-king of Twitter you should skim the article. Everybody uses twitter differently, and that article describes the way I see it (and the way I’m using it here).
Let’s start off with hypothetical:
In your ‘inner circle’ of comic book geeks, you have two people you’d label as friends. One professional friend, and one casual friend.
The professional friend makes comics for a living, and the dude’s SMART. He’s a certified EXPERT on comic books. He knows when the major landmark comics came out, he knows the sales numbers, he knows the current trends. When you and him talk, it’s mostly about the business side of comics, and his current projects.
The casual friend is just another fanboy like you. When you get together with him you swap comics. He geeks out with you about what he’s currently reading recommends new books to you. Your conversation isn’t just limited to comics though he also chats about epic movies, TV shows, magazines, websites.
The question: When they recommend a comic book to you, which friend are you more likely to listen to? [click to continue…]
As part of Twitter Week, I’m taking today to review a web-app called “Buffer.”
As I explained in my previous post, Twitter For People Who Don’t ‘Get’ Twitter, I wasn’t always a twitter advocate… in fact, I HATED it. I’m also not a fan of monthly paid services… the entrepreneur in me would rather have a custom coded tool that I pay for (upfront ONCE) rather than to pay monthly forever.
So why then, only a short month into my “Twitter kick” would I sign up for a premium web-app that charges me monthly? With so many free Twitter competitors out there, is this app really worth the cash?
The short answer is: Yes. (The long answer is “Hell Yes”)
In fact, Tomorrows post will be about how I use Twitter/buffer (although it will work without buffer) to build audiences hungry for your videos. You’ll want to sign up for free updates to be emailed when the content’s live. updated on the content.
(note: this is not an affiliate review. Buffer doesn’t HAVE an affiliate program so there’s no benefit in this review for me.)

This week, is TWITTER WEEK. On Wednesday and Friday I’ll be releasing twitter related video tactics. Reviews of twitter related tools will fill in on Tuesday and Thursday.
Do you want to know how to create a twitter following HUNGRY for videos? Want to know the absolute most effective way to get users to share your videos?
Well you’ll want to sign up for free updates to be emailed when these tactics go live.
I was a big ANTI-FAN of twitter for a while.
It seemed like the most POINTLESS social network (That title has now moved to G+)
I don’t care what you had for breakfast, I don’t care that you’re waiting in line for a movie and saw a cute guy, I don’t care that you’re upset with your parents. Twitter seemed like a great place to be if you wanted to know why Brad broke up with Chelsea… but pointless for the rest of us.
But that’s what they said about “blogs” isn’t it?
“Blogging” was something you did to share with the world what kind of breakfast cereal you had that day. But you’re reading a blog right now, and I’m guessing it’s not the only one you’re reading. It occurs to me that CONTENT and PLATFORM shouldn’t be confused. If a blog could be more than just about high-school politics, so can twitter, right? [click to continue…]
